As the Lions club year runs from July to July, here are some of the major accomplishments that we have done in the 2007-2008 year.
Held our annual Lions Lucky 26 raffle.
Held golf outing inviting clubs from the surrounding area.
Held a joint meeting with the Lancaster Club.
Sold Chicken at the Grant County Fair for 4 days.
Sold the annual Lions Birthday Calendars.
Held annual Roadside cleanup.
Sponsored 38 Good Samaritan Residents to Fireman's Steak Feed.
Sponsored 2 girls to Badger Camp ($500.00)
Held cleanup night for Marsden Park
Donated $475.00 to city for waste receptacle on new Main Street
Donated to the Unity Tree.
Donated $100.00 to the Champion Games at Boscobel
Donated $100.00 to CESA #3 for hearing impaired program.
Donated $100.00 to Post Prom Party
Donated $450.00 to Badger Girls State.
Donated $1,500.00 to Parade of Checks at State Convention
Donated $500.00 towards fireworks at Fennimore Fun Fest.
Donated $200.00 to Local Rif program at school.
Donated $500.00 To Scholarship Fund
Donated $263.00 to Grade School to buy Reflective bags for the kids to go trick or treating with.
Started a special fund along with all the District Clubs, to purchase equipment for two Blind Students totaling $10,000.00.
Pledged $750.00 for the next 3 years to the Boscobel Hospital Building Fund.
Donated $200.00 to the Bagley Relief fund, due to flooding in the area.
